I leave my office, a few minutes late to the next classroom on my schedule. I notice the kindergarten classes making the long trek back to their classrooms from the cafeteria. I find myself walking along side one of the classes. I know these kids well. Janet looks up at me with serious eyes. “I just love fresh air,” she proclaims, as if we were in the middle of a conversation.
“Oh,” I reply.
“I just love being outside and breathing in the fresh air.”
I keep walking next to this sweet soul, grateful to her for choosing me to share her thoughts with.

Fresh air feeds us all…whether it’s literally fresh air or air, words, actions that refresh! So glad you were chosen…

So great that this small person realizes the blessing of “small things” that aren’t so small.

This student has inspired me to walk outside RIGHT NOW – RIGHT AFTER I READ THIS POST to gather some fresh air in my lungs. 🙂

I’m forever amazed at how serene and surreal simplicity can be. What an insightful little mind coupled with a beautiful, big heart. Thank you so much for sharing this post. I feel like Stacey. I’m placing a rendezvous with fresh air on my to do list tomorrow.

Spending time outside and then sharing your joy with others is what life’s all about. We can learn so much from children when we listen!
