Rose has been sick. We’ve all been sick…passing the same week long virus from one family member to another. It’s how we’ve mapped this summer.
Today, as everyone headed to camp or out to play, Rose was still left with me.
“Let’s sketch,” I said. We had been making plans to make time to sketch.
Rose immediately perked up and went off in search of pencils.
As she sketches, I half heartedly sketched and jotted.

you did find a joyous moment amid the summer sickness!

Nothing better than observing g your kids in action – dance, sports, sleeping, sketching – it’s how we not only know them but, like you said, see them. Here’s to healthy days ahead!

I was sick a lot this summer too, but somehow that was not what I remember most. I am sure your daughters are having lots of happy moments, including extra time with mom!

So much sweetness in your words and in the photo. I hope one day when Rose is older she’ll find this page and know how loved she is.

Love those curly toes as she works hard on her drawing! A great why to spend a summer day – sick or not!
