“You can write an all about book.”
“Think of something you know all about.”
“It’s the kind of book you write to teach someone about something…”
“Like sea creatures,” she blurted out.
“Yes, like sea creatures,” I respond.
Brow furrowed.
What does she know about sea creatures?
She’s off.
Plan in place.
Fish.
Octopus.
Sea turtles.
Crayons are the tool of choice-
Usually banned during her school workshop.
Working continuously…
Joyously.
I hear the stapler click
three times.
“Want to read my book?”
I learn not to doubt my daughter.

What a great writer (you and Wren)!

She knows sea creatures…and she knows how to teach about them. I like when she asks her reader a question. She’s already so literate!
